You know where to find Deviant and Elder Dragon eggs in Monster Hunter Stories 2:Wings of Ruin, so how are you going to get as many of them as possible? CO-OP QUESTS

By far the best way to get on the egg farm is through the expeditions inMonster Hunter Stories 2 with the SR Expedition Ticket. You will have to defeat said Elder Dragons / Deviants to get the eggs, which could be a problem.

Our recommended minimum requirements are:

• Level 50 or above
• Rath Armor+ from Pink Rathian

It can be very expensive to have multiple sets of elemental armors for every encounter, which you’d prefer. However, to start, what Rath Armor+ has is:

• Self Heal XL to help you tank hits and trade blows
• Crit Heal L
• Health Boost M to increase your max HP

ONLINE OR WITH AI?

For maximum efficiency, it’s definitely with AI. Waiting for inputs from the other player and / or lag can artificially lengthen the time you spend on any battle. The AI is good enough to know about throwing you Ancient Potions and Immunizers, besides also being capable of fending for themselves aside from healing you. Another advantage of having an AI partner is that you can simply start a co-op quest through Local Play.

PREPARATIONS

Throw on the Finding Prayers to get that 20% increase in finding good genes. When you stay in town, the timer on the boosts does not count down, so you don’t need to rush to refresh it.

SR Expedition Tickets can be obtained at 100 Bottle Caps each from Melynx Inc. You can also get these Tickets from chests from Expeditions, which is highly dependent on your own luck.

Expeditions are also your fastest way to obtain Bottle Caps. It doesn’t matter what rank the Expedition needs to be, as any chest can potentially give you 5 – 10 Bottle Caps. Be sure to open up all the chests before you engage the boss. An Expedition can net you 30 – 50 Bottle Caps, while the quest itself gives 10. N and R Expedition Tickets are available at the town market for 30k and 300k Zenny each.

Volcanic Dens are highly recommended for Bottle Cap farming, as you may encounter Nergigante eggs. As the only Elder Dragon available before the post-game, this is your chance to obtain the Monstie with genes exclusive to Elder Dragons if you aren’t already at the post-game.

In your party line-up, have at least One Monstie with either Roar or Stealth:

• Stealth helps you move around the map much easier, but is only found on Nargacuga, Green Nargacuga, Silverwind Nargacuga
• Roar requires a bit more precision and timing, but if you hit it right, you can move past larger Monsties that may be in your way

QUICK BATTLE TIPS

• Ensure you and the AI always have 3 hearts
• Don’t bring Monsties weak to the Boss’ element
• Use Flash Bombs during a monster’s flying phase to bring them down for crits, or Sonic Bombs for underground ones (e.g. Bloodhorn Diablos)
• Save your Kinship Skill for the 3rd round where possible, when the monster is enraged
  • Enraged monsters will use their ultimate attack, potentially causing a team wipe (e.g. Rajang)
  • If without Kinship Skill, having all 3 hearts will allow you to tank it and heal up after
  • Hunting Horns with the Evasion Riff skill is another option to dodge One Enraged attack

EGG HUNTING

You can search for eggs until Navirou warns you with:

• Get meowt of here!
• Come on, I can’t take it any longer here!

If you try to search further after Navirou’s warnings, you will be forced into a battle. Co-op battles cannot be escaped from. Co-op expeditions also have a 60 minute time limit.

In the final boss egg room, you can have 1 – 5 tries for eggs.

You will want to go on the “Explore ( Field ) Den” Expedition Quests.
